Attention McCracken’s customers
As of May 31, 2012 our stores will no longer be carrying most Diamond dog food products on our shelves. Due to the size, and severity of this last recall, we do not feel comfortable with the safety of most of their products. We know that over the years we have come to rely on products like Chicken Soup and Taste of the Wild as our “go-to” foods and many of you have raised many pets on these foods. However we also have a responsibility to provide you with safe, healthy and cost-effective food options. It is because of this that the following lines of pet food will no longer be carried in-store: Chicken Soup, Taste of the Wild, Diamond Naturals, Professional, Country Value and Premium Edge.
We WILL continue to carry Canidae products as they are transitioning to their own plant in the near future. If you are feeding any of the above foods and would like to stay on them, we will special order at no additional expense.
This was perhaps one of the hardest decisions we have made in recent years, but we feel that it is the right decision for both you and your pets. Over the past weeks, we have spent hours talking with concerned pet owners, many times spending more than an hour reading through ingredient labels and finding an alternative for their pets. We will continue to do whatever we can to help our customers and pets through this situation.

Our E-town store is proud to host another Low cost vaccine and micro-chipping event!
The event will be held at our E-town location from 11am to 2pm April 28, 2012. Animal House Rescue in Mechanicburg will once again be hosting the event and Dr. Diane Ford, DVM will be on hand again for all your questions.
The event will offer most dog and cat vaccines for $10 and micro-chipping for $25. They also offer other services such as nail trimming for a nominal fee.
